Research Institute of Disaster management and Emergency medical system
Natural disasters have occurred frequently in many parts of the nation wide Japan and we have seen a growing need for the development of human resources capable of contributing to the spread of correct knowledge about disasters and regional activities for disaster control. This Research Insititute of Disaster management and EMS was established to develop human resources with a high level of expertise in disaster volunteer leader and emergency rescue who are capable of leading companies and communities in disaster control leader. Seeing the enormous damage wreaked by the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011 led us to start an activity to support the disaster-affected areas the following day. Through involvement in this activity, we grew aware of the need to develop disaster literacy and provide disaster education to students and children in and outside school. Also, we engage in emergency rescue courses and activities and support emergency medical care in developing countries.
